After the recent excitement of the Barlow Moor Road Hole, we all thought that the council had solved the issue by replacing a large water pipe under the road.
Apparently not. The road was closed again yesterday ( Friday 15th May ) as the hole appeared to be back. Heavy rain may have helped to weaken the road for a second time in such a way that police had to close the road to all traffic yet again.
Although there was no hole on this occasion, a large dip in the road filled with rain water was enough to cause the authorities to take the decision that Barlow Moor Road wasn't fit for the heavy traffic it usually carries.
