On Saturday 31st October 2009 the Didsbury Lanes Residents' Association are putting on a Halloween Fun Day which will run from 3pm to 10pm at the public area at the end of Crossway ( link to directions from Didsbury School Lane Junction )
Didsbury Lanes is the area bounded by Wilmslow Road, Barlow Moor road and Dene Road and all those who live or work in the Didsbury Lanes area are welcome to attend and bring a couple of friends.
Timetable of events
3.00pm onwards - Halloween childrens' games and competitions including apple bobbing, face-painting, doughnuts on a string, treasure hunt, fancy dress and jack-o'-lantern display.
4.00pm - Tea, coffee, biscuits and halloween cake provided again this year by Refresh Catering Emporium and mulled wine.
5.00pm - Raffle draw and childrens' prizes presented by John Leech MP
5.30pm - Pumpkin soup, vegetable stroganoff, chicken hot pot and crusty bread courtesy of Refresh and pizzas courtesy of Gusto, showcasing their new delivery service 'At Home with Gusto', plus mulled wine and other seasonal foods.
7.00pm - More seasonal food provided by local residents and eateries, including chilli, jacket potatoes, sausages courtesy of Axons Butchers, plus a specially-brewed 'Didsbury Lanes Ale'
10pm - Event end
There will be a marquee, heaters and lighting to make the evening more comfortable.

Tickets Entry is £10 for adults but free for children and older residents although an advanced ticket should be obtained for all attending to help estimate numbers.
