Didsbury SciBar - What is the Universe made of?
Professor Fred Loebinger of Manchester University
Scientists have long wondered what makes up the Universe. This quest for knowledge prompted the development of large particle accelerators, and has yielded the strange sub-nuclear world of quarks, gluons and leptons.
The latest discoveries, the promise of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN and pointers to the future will also be reviewed.
Stop Monday night feeling like like a inescapable black hole! Come along to Didsbury Scibar and get the low down on life, the universe and everything.
Venue: Pitcher & Piano, Didsbury Date: Monday 26th October Time: 6.30 - 8.30 pm http://www.scibar.info
