Another Didsbury pub bites the dust.
The Barleycorn on Barlow Moor road closed at the end of January. Some sources say that the structure is unsound and the building is due to be demolished.
The Barleycorn has been a key part of the Didsbury Dozen over the years and it seems it may have to be renamed the Didsbury half dozen if the closures continue.
If rumours are to be believed, the pubs grounds will be filled with a new development of flats. Something that seems to be happening a lot in the Didsbury area at the moment.
