Donations of books, clothes and jewellery are needed to re-stock empty shelves at Oxfam in Didsbury.
Staff at the charity store on Wilmslow Road are urging locals to bring in their unwanted goods to fill shelves and help boost sales.
Successful sales post Christmas have left the shop in need of good-quality stock, while the recent spell of poor local weather resulted in a fall in donations.
“People chose to stay at home rather than venture out in the freezing cold and rain,” explained Wendy Elliott, manager at Didsbury Oxfam.
“We particularly need clothes, books and jewellery, but toys, accessories and homeware items will also be most welcome.”
Added Wendy: “I’d like to thank people for their generosity and hope that they will continue to support Oxfam’s work fighting poverty at home and abroad.”
