Sunday 4th April 2010
What better way to round off the Easter Bank Holiday than a good guffaw at The Didsbury Comedy Club? For the majority of us Easter Sunday means no work on Monday so getting to Didsbury Cricket Club half an hour before the show starts would be advisable if you want to guarantee a seat.
The two top comics, both appearing here for the very first time are;
Stuart Goldsmith's infectious banter channels effortless charisma and quick-fire timing. He ran away from the circus in the late nineties, worked as an actor and street-performer, and is now Britain's second prettiest stand-up comedian, combining spanking punchlines with dangerous charisma and disarming honesty.
Psychobilly, self styled 'Rock & Roll Poet' and comedian Paul B Edwards appears at clubs and festivals around the UK with a genial combination of jokes, songs and poetry. He has rocked audiences as diverse as Reading Festival and Hertfordshire Constabulary.
The show features one of the best up and cooming local acts in the middle section and a compere. The show starts at 7.45pm and admission is a mere £6/£5 NUS.
