Lofts West Didsbury Showroom Hits Stunning New Heights
Celebrating its 10th anniversary on a high, LOFT Interiors - the property management furnishings specialist - is marking its decade in business with a £100,000 renovation of its West Didsbury showroom to create a contemporary furniture shopper’s mecca.
The decision to undertake major renovation work swiftly followed news that the company has posted its strongest ever financial year, exceeding forecasts. LOFT hit a turnover of £3.6 million for the year ending March 2013, £100,000 more than the company’s projections – which would already have meant a record year for LOFT.
The impressive refurbishment of LOFT’s West Didsbury showroom sees the site double its public space, giving it a footprint of 2,500 sq ft. LOFT commissioned local building firm RT Joinery & Construction from Poynton to achieve a light, airy look to showcase its collections of furnishings.
The LOFT showroom features aspirational room sets which are home to stunning new collections – from beds and bedroom furnishings to living room solutions – as well as favourites such as furniture packs for landlords, ranging from classic to luxury price points.
Whilst retaining a firm focus on its core market of property professionals - from landlords to letting agents and property management specialists - the new look showroom has also been designed with enhanced appeal for the discerning Didsbury home-owners market in mind: a sector that managing director Ben Hall is keen to develop.
Ben said: ‘’We’ve owned and operated out of the Burton Road site since I launched the business with my father 10 years ago. The renovations have made the space almost unrecognisable since the early days, when it was simply an evolution of the second hand furnishings shop my dad owned and ran. It’s now a high end destination that could happily give designer furnishings showrooms a run for their money. Whilst we’ve always provided Didsbury consumers with great furniture at trade prices, they can now shop in the surroundings they deserve.
‘’When it launched in 2003, LOFT Interiors – then Buy To Let Furnishings – simply did what it said on the tin, providing furniture solutions for the booming buy-to-let market. We’ve experienced huge growth over the last decade, which is down to a hard grafting team and a willingness to take risks, even in an uncertain climate.
‘’In the early days we had to learn on the job – and we were pulling in major accounts like furnishing Beetham Tower, so there was no margin for error. Ten years on, we’ve more than proved ourselves and we’re now operating like a big business, with slicker systems, an experienced operations team and a great portfolio of products and services that we’ve evolved to suit the changing market.
‘’The decision to renovate the Burton Road showroom really propels LOFT to a new era, reflecting our size and stature in the industry.’’
A 15,000 sq ft warehousing and distribution centre in Old Trafford, a 20 strong team and a fleet of vehicles that deliver nationwide underpin LOFT’s consumer facing showroom. LOFT Interiors’ client portfolio spans household names such as Argent Estates, Bellway Homes and Dandara.
The company’s specialist student division www.student-furniture.co.uk counts organisations including Liberty Living, The Mansion Group and Unite plc amongst its key clients.
