SciBar November 2009 - The Fate Of The Sun
SciBar Didsbury takes place at the Pitcher and Piano at 6.30pm on the last Monday of the month.
Novembers discussion will be Lost into space: the fate of the Sun and will be hosted by Dr Chris Wareing of The University of Leeds.
Whilst unlikely to happen for a few billion years at least, the eventual fate of the Sun and the Earth alongside it is an intriguing question and one which humanity finds particularly close to home, in an astrophysical sense! Join Dr Chris Wareing from the University of Leeds as he discusses his latest research into the spectacular death throes of our star and the effect they may have on the planets of the Solar System.
Stop Monday night feeling like like a inescapable black hole! Come along to Didsbury Scibar and get the low down on life, the universe and everything.
