The Milson Rhodes to replace The Pitcher and Piano
On Friday the 19th March 2010 a new pub will be opening in the place of The Pitcher and Piano on School Lane in Didsbury Village.
The Milson Rhodes, which is a new Wetherspoons location is to take its name from Dr J. Milson Rhodes (1847-1909), a local doctor and campaiger for the poor. He had a key role in the erection of the clocktower and water fountain which is one of the only remaining parts of the original Didsbury Railway Station.
The licensing for the new venue has been agreed with Manchester City Council.
